Apparently, Ronald McDonald and the crew have aspired to make their Happy Meal slightly more healthy to appeal to their more nutrition-conscious customers (always business, huh??).  This past Friday (Sept 17) marked the beginning of Mickey D's adding apple slices to their classic kids combo.  To make room for the apples, they've cut the portion of french fries your tike would normally receive in half.  Kinda cool, I guess.  

Why does ATL Bite Life care though??  Well, 2 reasons - First, this promotion doesn't go national until early next year.  The ATL is one of the lucky cities that they've chosen as a test market.  Second, from now til Thursday (Sept 22), McDonald's is doing a Buy One, Get One Free Happy Meal promotion between the hours of 2pm and 7pm.  Just in time for the kids to eat once they get out of school.  Will you be taking advantage of this??
