Foodie News x Restaurant Reviews x Hip-Hop Attitude

In 2010, I (Nick Love) spent over 45% of my annual income eating out at some of Atlanta's best (and worst) restaurants. So, who better to guide you through the city's crowded dining terrain?? Now, I, along with my team of Hip-Hop generation foodies, will expose and review ATL's newest hits, hidden gems, and old favorites. Hopefully, this blog will earn us a free meal or two while we point you guys in the direction of some good food and steer you away from the wackness. Let's eat!!!

Chef Jason Ellis' Chocolate Lobster (Social Cravings Recap)

On Wednesday of last week, I invited all of my readers out to Social Cravings to enjoy a night of culinary delight with Chef Jason Ellis (from Season 6 of Fox Network's Hell's Kitchen) at the Indigo Rooftop Bar off of Edgewood Ave.  It was a private event sponsored by MillerCoors so you already know that with free beers + complimentary food - THE PLACE WAS PACKED!!!  I even got a chance to meet some of you guys.  : )

Now, I had an opportunity to taste some great food.  There were cupcakes given to everyone once you stepped off of the elevator.  Then the shrimp & grit got passed around.  Finally, the Chef Ellis went thru his presentation that included Georgia white shrimp and lamb chops.  But, the highlight of the night was the chef's specialty - Chocolate Lobster (a combination of fresh lobster and white chocolate on a newly fried wonton - DELICIOUS!!!)..

Before he was done preparing the dish, the women in the audience were already drooling.  The picture above does not do it justice.  Fellas, you might wanna learn how to make this dish yourself OR just put some coins together and hire Chef Ellis to come to your house since he is based in Atlanta.

If you want to see what else the chef can cook up, Like him on Facebook, Follow him on Twitter, or just visit him on his website

S/O to my man S. Diddy for inviting ATL Bite Life out to this very classy event!!!
