Foodie News x Restaurant Reviews x Hip-Hop Attitude

In 2010, I (Nick Love) spent over 45% of my annual income eating out at some of Atlanta's best (and worst) restaurants. So, who better to guide you through the city's crowded dining terrain?? Now, I, along with my team of Hip-Hop generation foodies, will expose and review ATL's newest hits, hidden gems, and old favorites. Hopefully, this blog will earn us a free meal or two while we point you guys in the direction of some good food and steer you away from the wackness. Let's eat!!!

Taste of Atlanta 2011 Recap

I'm not gonna waste your time with a whole lot of words today.  If you missed this year's Taste of Atlanta, you didn't miss WORDS, you missed FOOD!!!  LOTS AND LOTS OF IT!!!   And you were probably the only one who did.  Check out the picture I snapped above.  Midtown was jam packed this weekend.

Check out the pics I snapped below.  I would've taken more but I found myself digging into the food before I thought about it.  Some of the highlights - the barbecue spare ribs from Jim N Nicks, the sweet potato pancakes and the mini cupcakes from Highland Bakery, the bread pudding from Gordon Biersch, the pound cake from Melting Pot, the crawfish and shrimp etoufee from Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint, and the fried oyster po boy from Serpas.  There was a lot of good food there but those were the ones that stood out to me.

Oh, and I can't get forget about the VIP tent!!!  They had FREE BEER, WINE, and COCKTAILS!!!  I got a picture of the tent below BEFORE I started drinking and then. . . .  Lol.  There was this one drink that had this Michael Collins Whiskey that was INCREDIBLE!!!  I can't say enough about it!!!

I was still baffled by the long line at Ri Ra.  I told ya'll how I felt about the fish & chips they let us sample during the Sneak Peek.  I'll just chalk that up to people not knowing.  And, I was even more confused by the line at the Waffle House booth.  I mean, WAFFLE HOUSE??  Come on, guys!!!  I'll chalk that up to people being from out of town.  Smh.

Either way, check out the pics below.

See ya next year!!!
