Foodie News x Restaurant Reviews x Hip-Hop Attitude

In 2010, I (Nick Love) spent over 45% of my annual income eating out at some of Atlanta's best (and worst) restaurants. So, who better to guide you through the city's crowded dining terrain?? Now, I, along with my team of Hip-Hop generation foodies, will expose and review ATL's newest hits, hidden gems, and old favorites. Hopefully, this blog will earn us a free meal or two while we point you guys in the direction of some good food and steer you away from the wackness. Let's eat!!!

The Great Debate: BBQ

Almost every week, us good people here at ATL Bite Life like to do a Great Debate post.  It serves a couple of purposes.  First, it's an invitation to you guys to interact with us.  No good blog can survive without reader feedback.  Your support, your praise, and, yes, even your critiques, have helped shape this site.  Second, we're lazy.  A post like this allows us to slap up a cool picture, ask for your input, and call it a day.  Finally, it's a learning opportunity for us.  Sometimes, we honestly just don't know what the BEST spot is.  Other times, you guys turn us on to new spots that we can go review.  Win-Win for everyone!!!

So, today's question is this - WHO HAS THE BEST BBQ IN ATLANTA??  Now, the OBVIOUS answer is MY PARENTS!!!  No one grills like them!!!  However, every now and then, when they don't feel like firing up the charcoal, they make a run to Fox Brothers BBQ on De.Kalb Ave.  And, of course, everyone swears by Fatt Matt's

What do YOU think??

Hit us up!!!

Imma have to say Jim n Nicks in conyers NO SAUCE (too vinegar-y) But if you can get the sweet sauce from Sonny's or JJ's by Greenbriar you are in business! Haven't been to Fatt Matt's in a while tho & still haven't tries Fox Brothers...guess what is now on my agenda for this weekend...BBQ!!!!!

There's a Jim N Nicks in Conyers?? I never knew that. I went to one like year ago and it was so far out the way, I never went back. I liked that place though.

Fox Bros has some of the best pulled pork I have ever had...Tasty enough not to need sauce...Their brisket chili is pretty good, too...Fat Matt's is cool...Everyone I know swears by it...But honestly there's a little spot in Decatur called Community Q that has some of the best BBQ I've had in Atlanta...The BBQ beef ribs are HUGE and are fall off the bone good!...And the mac and cheese is the best I've had at any restaurant in Atlanta...

Your are parents BBQ is by far the best ever. However, the ribs from Smokey Bones last night was pretty good.

Thanks, Layla. I'm sure my parents will appreciate your seal of approval. But, you're right. Smokey Bones ain't bad at all. Especially for a chain restaurant. Sonny's BBQ is the worst!!!
